EUROPEAN KARATE CUP 2021
3-5th December 2021 Kaunas - Kėdainai, Lithuania

The European Karate Cup will take place on 4-5th December 2021 at “Kėdainių Arena”

Winners of Kumite men 1st and 2nd places and Kumite women 1st place will be selected to participate in the WKO World Karate Championship on September 24-25, 2022 in Poland.

Categories and number of participants for each country:

a) European Cup for adults (The minimum age for competitors must be 18 years on the day of competition):

Kumite men:
Men Lightweight -65 kg;
Men Middleweight 65-75 kg;
Men Light Heavyweight 75-85 kg;
Men Heavyweight +85 kg.

Kumite women:
Women Lightweight -50 kg;
Women Middleweight 50-55 kg;
Women Light Heavyweight 55-60 kg;
Women Heavyweight +60 kg.

Kumite men 1st and 2nd places and Kumite women 1st place winners will be selected to participate in the World Karate Championship on September 24-25, 2022 in Poland.

b) Kata men, Kata women, Kata Team;
c) 2 participants per country in each category KUMITE and KATA. Country organizer has one extra participant in each category.
d) Fighters, who already were selected to the 2022 World Championship, cannot participate in this tournament.

Deadline for National teams, officials and others registration 07.11.2021

Preliminary schedule:
02.12.2021 Thursday: arrival of EKO Board, committees, invited referees, National teams.

03.12.2021 Friday:
arrival of National teams

09:00-18:00 COVID tests, weight and medical control;
09:00 EKO committees meetings;
11:00 – 17:00 Referee seminar, examination;
18:30 Draws.

04.12.2021 Saturday:
10:00 - European Cup 1st day.

05.12.2021 Sunday:
10:00 - European Cup 2nd day (semifinals and finals);
06.12.2021 Monday: checkout and departure.

Financial conditions:
a) Accommodation, flight tickets, transportation and meals for all participants shall be covered by Country Organization or Club or participant himself; b) EKO participation fee 50 Euro per each participant.

Accommodation and Championship package*:
Important information: according to the established regulations, accommodation of arriving teams in the official hotel is a mandatory requirement.

4* “Radisson Hotel Kaunas” hotel – headquarter (official hotel for all delegations):

60 € night/person in TWIN (DBL) / 90 € night/person in SINGLE room with room with - breakfast, lunch at the competition venue and dinner, transfers and entrance to the competition venue, COVID tests at arrival day.

Special accommodation and Championship package price is valid for stay minimum 3 nights and includes:

3 nights accommodation with breakfast;
3 buffet dinners (3rd-4th-5th December);
2 lunches at the competition Venue (4th-5th December);
2 days transfers Hotel-Kėdainių Arena-Hotel;
Entrance to the competition venue. Shorter stay in this hotel not possible during the event. Extra night accommodation on request. All payments should be paid by bank transfer.
Deadline for hotel booking and final confirmation: 7th November 2021

Please note, that due to the COVID regulations there are no possibilities to have accommodation in a different place than Official Hotel.

The nearest international airports and Organizers’ transfer cost: Kaunas (13 km) 5 Eur per person/one way Vilnius (98 km) 15 Eur per person/one way Riga (276 km) 35 Eur per person/one way

Conditions for participating in the Championship for fighters and coaches: All competitors are requested to present:
Written medical certificate (in English) indication that he or she is physically fit and healthy and his/her insurance documents. This medical certificate must not be older than 3 months (women are requested to present written certificate of non-pregnant state);
Declaration for participation in the tournament. The coach must wear the national team uniform.
